Those who are seeking to create/ to be held in rites of passages or initiations to mark important transitions;
Those who are at important life turning points, including: passage into adulthood/ midlife/ elderhood; entering or exiting marriage; losses of faith, religion and tradition; being initiated into new ways of knowing and being known;
Those who feel the burden and gift of artistic vision but aren’t sure how to bring it into the world;
Mothers/Stepmothers/Bonus mothers and Fathers/Stepfathers/Bonus fathers in complex blended families, who are doing the hard work of blessing their children/bonus children, especially in very painful situations;

Ceremonialist
Ceremony is poetry made visible; it is the deep honoring of our ancestors, our faith and the practices that have found us. It is our connection to what we hold most dear.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and communities to mark the sacred moment of a birth, a lost child; a child’s naming, a coming of age; a marriage, a divorce; moments before death, the final parting.
I specialize in co-creating ceremonies that we don’t have known containers for yet or perhaps have forgotten.
My main areas of focus are:
Ways to mark re-commitments to a new beloved, especially when there are children involved who we want to feel bonded to in love;
The crossing into one’s season of motherhood, fatherhood, or parenthood especially when it does not come about in the usual way, especially when there is grief and loss;
The stepping into young adulthood/ midlife/ elderhood, even as we imagine what that new stage might ask of us;
The acceptance of profound loss;
The welcoming of new found freedom.
I would love to help you create the ceremonies for your life events that you know you need to mark.
